The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma continues to closely monitor the national response to the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The following list compiles updates and actions taken in this district in response to COVID-19:
- Judges are conducting most hearings telephonically or by video conference. Chief Judge Loyd's telephonic hearing information is 888-684-8852 and the Access Code is 3396906. Judge Hall's telephonic hearing information is 866-590-5055 and the Access Code is 4489321. G.O. 20-6.3.
- Some of these hearings will be conducted via Microsoft Teams. Below are some Teams Resources that may help participants enjoy a smooth hearing experience on Teams. The Resources range from basic to advanced topics which you can find here. We have found the following videos to be especially helpful when preparing for hearings held on Teams:
- Section 341 meetings will be conducted by telephone or video for cases filed during the period of the President’s “Proclamation on Declaring a National Emergency Concerning the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak” issued March 13, 2020, and ending on the date that is 60 days after such declaration terminates.

- Face coverings are no longer required when in Federal Courthouses in the Western District of Oklahoma.
- In addition to standard security screening, visitors to the Federal Courthouses in the Western District of Oklahoma will undergo COVID-19 screening (asked if they have COVID-19, if they have been around someone with COVID-19, if they have symptoms of a respiratory illness). OKWD-20-11.
- Social distancing is enforced in courtrooms. OKWD-20-11.1.
- The court has temporarily suspended requirements to obtain original signatures provided certain conditions are satisfied as set forth in G.O. 20-7.
- G.O. 20-9 was entered to amend the Interim Bankruptcy Rules adopted to implement the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019.
- Copies of most documents filed with the court can be obtained through PACER: https://pacer.uscourts.gov/.
- At the beginning of the COVID-19 response, Section 341 meetings were suspended and deadlines associated with those meetings were likewise suspended. G.O. 20-5.1 and G.O. 20-5.
