How to Obtain Case Information and Copies.
Case Information
By Phone
Case information is available toll-free through the Court's automated Voice Case Information System (VCIS) at (866) 222-8029. This system is free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To obtain case information, you will need one of the following:
- Case number
- Full name of a party
- Social Security Number or ITIN
Information available from VCIS includes:
- Case number
- Debtor or party names
- Filing date and chapter
- Debtor’s attorney name and phone number
- Trustee name
- Assigned judge
- Discharge and closing dates
- Asset status
- Case status and disposition
Online (PACER)
Court records may be viewed online using Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER).
PACER allows users to search, view, and print federal court records using an internet connection and a PACER account.
Key PACER fees:
- $0.10 per page for documents retrieved
- $3.00 maximum per document (30 pages)
- Charges under $30 per quarter are waived

In Person
Bankruptcy records may be viewed free of charge using the public access terminals located in the Clerk’s Office.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Printing from public terminals costs:
- $0.10 per page
If a clerk must perform services, additional fees may apply:
- $0.50 per page for clerk-made copies
- $34.00 search fee if substantial time is required
- $12.00 certification fee per document

Requesting Paper Copies
Paper copies of bankruptcy documents may be requested:

- By mail

- Bankruptcy or Adversary Proceeding case number
- Debtor(s) name
- Docket number of document(s) requested
- Daytime phone number and email address
If you do not know the case number, you may obtain it through:
- VCIS: (866) 222-8029
- PACER
- Public access terminals in the Clerk’s Office
After the request is received, the Clerk’s Office will calculate the total fees and notify the requesting party.
All fees must be paid in advance before processing. Do NOT submit payment through Pay.gov until you receive the payment amount from the Clerk’s Office.
Certified Copies
Certified copies may be requested as Hard Copy Certified Copies or Electronic Certified Copies

Because certified documents are sworn true copies by the Court Clerk, requesting parties may not submit their own copies for certification.
Requests must include:
- Bankruptcy or Adversary Proceeding case number
- Debtor(s) name
- Docket number of document(s) requested
- Type of certified copy (electronic or paper)
- Daytime phone number and email address
Electronic Certified Copies – electronic seal stamp certifying

- No per-page copy fee

- Returned via email
