Personal Identifier Information

Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 9037 requires that personal identification information be redacted from documents filed with the court — individuals' Social Security and taxpayer identification numbers, names of minor children, financial account numbers, and dates of birth.

The clerk’s office is not required to review documents filed with the court for compliance with this rule. The responsibility to redact filings rests with counsel, parties, and others who make filings with the court.
