The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma announces revised Local Rules, including Local Forms and Guidelines and Procedures for Electronic Case Filing, Chapter 12 cases, Chapter 13 cases, and Subchapter V cases in Chapter 11 will go into effect on September 1, 2024. The revised rules are available here OKWB Local Rules - Effective September 1, 2024.
The Court thanks the Local Rules Committee who volunteered their time and shared their insights, expertise, and suggestions to revise the rules. Members of the Committee are David S. Burge, Marjorie J. Creasey, O. Clifton Gooding, Douglas N. Gould, Luke A. Homen, Clayton D. Ketter, Stephen J. Moriarty, and Mark B. Toffoli as well as the Bankruptcy Judges and Court Clerk’s Office personnel. The Court also thanks those who submitted comments during the comment period.
The Committee’s work continues as amendments to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure are scheduled to go into effect December 1, 2024. These amendments include a non-substantive restyling of all the Federal Bankruptcy Rules. Consequently, the Committee is examining these amendments and anticipates releasing a revised set of local rules conforming to the restyled Federal Bankruptcy Rules for public comment later this year.
