Court Operations in the Event of a Government Shutdown

In the event Congress does not pass a budget or a continuing resolution funding the federal government before October 1, 2023, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma will remain open and continue operations.  The Case Management/ Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system will remain operational to accept electronic filings as will Electronic Document Submission System (EDSS) for pro se filers.  The clerk’s office will remain available by phone (405-609-5700), email (trainers@okwb.uscourts.gov), or in person at the intake counter to provide assistance each weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If a shutdown occurs, the Court will enter a general order on Monday, October 2, 2023, extending deadlines applicable to United States governmental units, including the Office of the United States Trustee and United States Attorney’s offices.
